History of Meynell Hunt point-to-point meetings at Ednaston Hall

Absolute pleasure but it was all Jeremy. Do feel free to get involved on here especially on the Point to Point section 🙂

History of Meynell Hunt point-to-point meetings at Ednaston Hall

Oh that would be great if he comes back. I can take a back seat as I am vastly inferior to what he knows about Pointing.

History of Meynell Hunt point-to-point meetings at Ednaston Hall

Isn't he! I have been to him in the past to ask for stats over ten seasons and he just bangs them out. Really top bloke and a lovely guy in person too.

History of Meynell Hunt point-to-point meetings at Ednaston Hall

Taken a few days but the ever brilliant Jeremy Grayson, who is literally the font of all knowledge when it comes to anything Pointing, has come back to me with this: I can see from a quick perusal of the incredibly comprehensive fixture lists compiled by Michael Kutapan (Hanway2) on J4F that...

Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

That's really sad - three in one day at the same course on a Saturday too. Worrying fodder for the antis.

    NEW HERE

Thank you for this, Len. I am feeling the same. Grown men behaving like this - really? It is not the first time and you appear like a pack of hyenas circling around a new person or a weaker member of the forum. Seriously behave like adults.

    Todays Racing -----England--Ireland

I had a friend who was there today in an official capacity and he spoke to a couple of the valets who said the jockeys had come back in saying the ground was frozen in parts under the surface so yes it does sound like you are correct. Not sure how many trainers/jockeys actually walked the...

    Amateur Jockey Races Thread

Lets add Freddie Robson to this thread. Grandson of the legendary Olympic Three Day Event rider, Ian Stark he (according to Alice) has mopped up in Pony Races and will be pointing and riding in amateur races this season.

    Todays Racing -----England--Ireland

He's not a horseman compared to Luke and Alice who straight away knew what had happened. He's just a sports presenter.

    Todays Racing -----England--Ireland

Oh god and now Kalif du Berlais does not look good - off fore leg looked gone.

    Todays Racing -----England--Ireland

Yes it looked like a broken neck - you only had to see how his legs went rigid. Really sad as I thought he was a nice horse - may not have beaten the winner but he would have picked up more races.

That was horrific for Wertpol - can't see him surviving that.

    The 2026 Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle

You're not the only one who thought he didn't have much of a chance at Chepstow! His trainer was fairly surprised as were all the owners. But I think he's improving. At Newton Abbot when I saw him run, he was fat as a pig.

    The 2026 Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle

I think it was always quite nice but had wind issues that I mentioned when I saw him beaten early on and his head was a bit awkward. Took a while to convince the Scott daughter (she's fairly dominant in her opinion) that he needed an op but as soon as they did, he improved significantly. I was...

    The 2026 Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle

Chuffed to see my friends' horse King of the Lake in there. They were all astounded by the Chepstow win so it would be nice to see him run well here for them.

Aww - some of the comments - "He was all heart" but died of a heart condition. Poor little guy.

Live the Dream who literally enabled his owners to do that has succumbed to long term injuries. https://www.racingpost.com/news/britain/he-touched-our-hearts-in-ways-we-never-expected-owners-tearful-tribute-to-nunthorpe-winner-live-in-the-dream-aNrCH9h1qvJH/
