    Novice Hurdlers 2015/16

I'm very much looking forward to Ben Paulings good bumper horse Barters Hill. Not the most original of selections and not sure he'll be at his best until he gets to fences but I love his attitude. He is a horse that wants to win and that is so important, particularly in NH. I expect him to mop...

    Breeders Cup 2015

Moore has drawn just about every outside stall... I can imagine the glower now!

    Goodbye Clive Brittain.

Read a real touching piece on him and his retirement, what a great guy. You can't help but like him and he was undoubtedly a trainer of real ability, particularly with fillies. Recent exploits with Rizeena have only served to reinforce that. Happy retirement Clive.

    Racing UK pundits and presenters

That's ATR Harry.. As a slightly younger viewer, whilst I respect the views of Neesom and Mellish, they do drone on a bit and hardly light up the day. Bell and Stanley are doing a good job of bringing some enthusiasm and verve to the channel. Unlike everyone else it seems, I like Willoughby...

Weld and Smullen, pure class. I knew I wanted to take on Jack Hobbs, should have just laid him... Did the draw and early race hurt him?

I've followed you both in with this Vadamos... Fabre is rarely so effusive... Speculative though. Also backed Racing History as he's going the same way as his brother who was a hell of a horse and he liked a break between races, which Racing History has had. Small e/w play on both.

I just wonder whether Gleneagles might just have a bit too much pace for him... Plus Gleneagles has R Moore on board... Which is always a help...

    Champions Day

I'm going to back Gleneagles. His one race on good to soft he didn't get a run and still won comfortably enough. Solow will be tough to beat but he's been on the go a long time and hasn't come up against a 3yo of Gleneagles quality... Ground should be quick enough...

Backed Covert Love at 6's e/w. If Smullen gets loose on the lead she'll win. Only way she might get beat is if they go very quick and it becomes a slog, she stays but gone e/w to protect myself..

Whats your view on the filly and mares? First reaction is Covert Love is another rick... Should be clear fav, Candarliya and Simple verse lack pace....Sea Calisi might be the danger, i'm guessing Euro will be on her!!

The maurice de gheest was borderline g/s, straight track at Ascot is also much better ground. I really couldn't believe the price, i got 3.95 on bf... mental. Twilight son is a good horse EC, lets hope they both stay in training.

That was a gift, complete rick, should have have been 6/4 or shorter. Best sprinter we've seen for a few years and a cracking generation. Commonwealth cup helped shape the sprint season this year.

Muhaarar is a cracking price!!! Just turned on, though he'd be 6/4!!

    Chasers & Hurdlers 2014/2015

Don Cossack looks massively overrated to me. I can see the argument for him being top rated but 10lb (Or is it 9?!) higher than Coneygree?!! That horse is not getting the respect he deserves for that Gold Cup, an absolute monster of a performance. He is a Lion.

Road to the Arc de Triomphe

Couldn't agree more. And i'll be able to say I was there for his last race. I was also there for the St James Palace - That was also memorable but for different reasons!!!!

Road to the Arc de Triomphe

The thing with Frankel was even once the (slightly controversial) 3yo allowance was gone, he carried on battering everything. Treve, Hurricane Run, Montjeu etc etc weren't able to do it. That was what truly set him apart. That Queen Anne was just out of this world. STS was the best looking...
