    Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe

I dont do ratings but I've seen this filly in the flesh and she will be improving if anything - Ratings won't tell you that nor will a tv camera. I was surprised by how much of physical specimen she is. And if she is improving, she'll pick them up and carry them provided Frankie gets a decent...

    Racing Post new site.

Have to agree. I use a MacBook and it seems to constantly drop my login and ask me to log in again every time I open a race result and always when i click on the race analysis. Its so bad now but the competition is so poor and the one thing the RP has is a good database and decent race write...

    Goodwood

Have to disagree, he is still top class.

    Goodwood

Nassau is the race of the week - A cracker if they all turn up. Over a mile i'd be steaming into Winter but will just be watching on this occasion.

    Ante-Post - Flat 2017

Was there today, stellar performance in tough conditions and there was a big crowd there to witness it. Ulysses would have been a good winner in another year but he met one right out of the top drawer.

    What are you backing Today?

Yeah not sure, although tbh, i thought Ulysees had it when they crossed the line. Barney's attitude showed again but got a bit outpaced which I wasn't expecting.

    What are you backing Today?

Had a decent bet on Barney Roy. Loved his attitude last time out and think he will win provided his stamina doesn't give out. I'm hoping his attitude, along with his obvious class, will be enough to get him through.

    The Long Shot Thread

My punting this year is my best ever and I've done the least work and bet less than ever.... Strange how these things play out.

    Royal Ascot Saturday

Can he do it over 6f though DO? That was an incredible performance last year but he'll need a pace collapse over 6f and i don't think that will happen in a Group 1.

    Prix de Diane - Sunday

She was a crack 2yo... Might have been fancied in the early AP markets

    Royal Ascot 2017

Limato is the one to beat Euro, would tend to agree and his good ground form is equally as strong as the Tin mans but the latter is improving and I don't think there is much between them so would rather side with the Fanshawe horse.

    Prix de Diane - Sunday

Money back and a few shillings on this, might have got closer with a better run but winner probably the best horse in the race. Somewhat of an anticlimax though in many ways.

    Prix de Diane - Sunday

Excerpt from a piece in the RP: going back to Nebraska Tornado in 2003, only West Wind had previously suffered defeat among the first French-trained fillies home in the race. Confidential Lady (2006) and Star Of Seville (2015) are the only foreign-trained winners during that period and even...

    What are you backing Today?

Inexperience lost it for him, was the best horse in the race but backing 1st time out horses you have to expect it.

    Royal Ascot 2017

Having a browse through races later in the week, the Hardwicke looks impossible but should be a group 1 given the depth of the potential field. Stand out for me is Tin man e/w - Record on gd/gf is 6 from 8 with one of those losses being his debut so if the ground if gd to fm, which looks...

    2-y-os 2017

Perhaps Appleby is getting the Suroor horses and doing a better job? Its a mystery to me how Bin Suroor has kept his job all this time; he's hardly delivered given the horse flesh he's had and yet he still feels confident enough to publicly denounce Ferguson....

    Prix de Diane - Sunday

Well i've had a decent e/w bet on Terrakova this morning, 6/1 was gone annoyingly so i'm waiting to see if there's any drift in the UK markets to get a bit more on. Real high quality race and I expect the winner to turn out be a top notcher.

    Prix de Diane - Sunday

Assumed that other horse was a runner, get your point now Edgt!!! ha!! Anything related to goldikova has a chance of being brilliant though, especially with Galileo involved.

    Prix de Diane - Sunday

I'd agree, would be keener on shutter speed despite the fact Rhod is clearly crying out for 10f, three classics in a short space of time is a big ask. Didn't know that Edjt. Also read a piece about unexposed french 3yo's in rp as well, 11 of the last 14 winners were unbeaten french 3yo's and we...

    Prix de Diane - Sunday

Anyone had a good look at this? Very classy race on paper but I need someone to talk me out of a hefty e/w bet on Terrakova. 6/1 with Victor. Rhododendron and Shutter Speed are worthy market leaders on form but the french filly has plenty of pluses. She is unexposed, I was taken with her trial...
