Good shout on laying the front two Luke - There was always the chance they would take each other on.

    sunday clash

It is going to be a very interesting race given both principals penchant for forcing the pace. I would have made Thistlecrack a warm favourite and a comfortable winner against them though.

Wow, some serious racemates on that list - Thanks for putting it up Colin.

    The Derby

Architecture will prove to be a group 1 horse in my opinion. I was really taken with her and think she is one to follow when she can avoid Minding, who has to rate a good winner of the Oaks without being outstanding.

Frankel 4 from 5 now.... Very early days but the fact he's throwing precocious horses is exciting given how he developed over time. Bringing back memories and great to see.

    Ante-Post - Flat 2016

Pretty impressive stuff - I was taken with him anyway. Not sure the stiffer finish or quicker ground will be any issue for him at Ascot and to be honest, i'm surprised 11/4 was on offer. He might bounce but if he turns up in that form the 11/4 would look silly. Boyles still 5/2 on RP site but...

    Guineas

Tremendous performance from the winner, no fluke as they were miles clear of the others. Delighted for connections and nice to see a cheaply bought horse beat the blue bloods.

    Guineas

Any views on todays 1000 guineas? Other than being FTO, Tanaza's form and breeding is not represented in her price imo. Backed her e/w for some interest.

    French Guineas

Solemia, Prospect wells and plenty of other stayers on the dam side if you go back a few gens. I think he'll stay and i reckon they'll run him.

    French Guineas

Anyone got any views on the french guineas today? Can't say I have any handle on the French form but the English raiders would look to have a bit to find in a typical guineas. Nice to see a son of Zarkava running but a lot of non-group race form coming into this makes it a watching brief for me...

    Guineas

Ballydoyle's race was compromised by the start, whether she would have beaten Minding is a different question but she didn't have a clean race.

Who Is Your Most Annoying Race Commentator?

I don't like Bartlett, poor commentator. Calling Thommo a **** is out of order, as someone else said, he might be a bit of a plonker but a thoroughly nice bloke. Malcom Tomlinson should get more gigs, possibly my favourite commentator.

    Guineas

Coolmore are surely getting to the point where they realise War Front isn't a classic sire..... They have been supporting him so much for the last few seasons but his horses generally don't get a mile very well. Dettori deserves credit for another great ride, last few seasons have reminded...

    Guineas

Sheikh Hamdan has entrusted him with a fair few horses - He has only had runners for that owner so far.

    Guineas

Backed Marcel e/w at 10's. RP trophy not necessarily a great indicator for the guineas but I was quite taken with that run, his pedigree suggests a mile to ten furlongs will be his trip and he'll stay.

2-y-os 2016 incorporating First Season Sires

Power looks a good e/w bet to me

    Martin Pipe

And Nicholls is still winning championships but in spite of his jockey and the situation; because as I said earlier he is undoubtedly a great trainer. He was just untouchable when Ruby was there.
