After watching Dessie I couldn’t wait to go and see horse racing for real. My first time was Taunton, around 1989/90 ish? The first race winner was Aimee Jane, MC Pipe, Peter Scudamore. I couldn’t believe how better it was watching it live than on TV. Anyone remember theirs?

What are your views on these? Do they have a point? They seem to have a varied cross section of support.

I have used Betfair for years but there is now (at last) competition!! Betdaq is 2% for every market and Matchbook is 0% for horses. Liquidity is finally there too...(which was always the problem with exchanges other than Betfair)

I think so! A changing of the guard in the trainers (Elliott), lots of great jockeys winning and its not the Ruby show. Missing horses through injury but still great races. Nice weather..........so far!!!

Is there an adaptor that allows you to put a HDMI input into an old plasma TV with no HDMI input sockets? Ive ordered Sky Q and will be having Sky on our TV upstairs, which is an older (but still great) non HD Panasonic plasma with Scart leads. The Sky Q box is HD so will need a TV with HDMI...
