And it's still daylight up here.

This morning I woke up at 3.30 and it was daylight. I'm thinking of staying up to see if it actually gets dark  :dork: :what:

(My PC said 10.24. It was actually 10.20 - so call me a liar for 4 minutes. It's still daylight though.)

The weather in Wicklow was very good last week and it was only getting dark at 10:00, I don't remember it staying bright for so long maybe the earth hast tilted a bit more shrug:: :)

Sheikh, do you live in Wicklow? Town or county?

I used to holiday in the town and have a great fondness for the place. Met my first female 'friend' there. She told me she was 16 and I told her I was 15. Turned out she was 18 (and I was 140.

We stayed in St Michael's hall and I still remember a lot about the place, especially walking out to the Silver Strand before it was taken over and even to Brittas Bay one day.

Most of all, I remember swimming in the harbour (and getting my b*ll*cks virtually frozen off in the process!)

I was sorely tempted to edit this, since I was 14. However, I'll leave it as it is and count it as a rating norty

It´s light in Spain till 10pm if that´s any help? It´s also light at 7am too :(
More to the point, it's light here at around 4-4.30am, for the love of God! It drives me mad - every morning I wake at daybreak and only doze thereafter. I have to sleep with a t-shirt on my head to try to block the light out!!!

I find it difficult to believe that it`s still light as late as 2200 in Spain. The further south one travels the earlier the sun sets.

You have your T-Shirt up over your head. Lovely image...

Haha Gearoid!!!!

Euro - it's light until at least 10pm in the South of Spain, often until 10.30pm in high summer. Don't forget the time is an hour ahead for starters, and it doesn't get light until 7-7.30am in high summer - in the winter it doesn't get light until 8-8.30am.

My cricket match on Tuesday didn't finish until 9pm and we could still see the ball watching from 100ft away on the boundary.

SL - why not buy thicker curtains?

Some of our pupils recently went on a residential visit. Word got back to the school that some of them were up and outside playing football on a nearby pitch at 4.30am because it was daylight.
