Anyone watching this, parents are blind but come on these kids are suffering.

Anyone agree ?

I actually cried. Those poor poor children. The blind couple didn't lift a finger. I know it sounds harsh and I hate to say it, but I'm glad she miscarried those babies and I hope she doesn't fall pregnant again. Her other children, especially the two girls, don't deserve another forced upon them. One wonders how the parents managed to bring up the girls with no help, who changed their nappies?

I only saw the ad for it but couldnt believe when parents said they hads so many kids so that they would look after them when they grew up.

This documentary near broke my heart and had me in tears too Griffin.

Not even a cuddle in sight for any of those wee uns and those two girls have been robbed of any kind of life :( For one of them to attempt suicide at the age of eight and pretty much being ignored after it is totally unforgivable, not only by her parents but also any welfare/social services too.

Not a finger was seen to be lifted in helping the children who were bluntly living in squalor but plenty were lifted to spark up a ciggie and pull the tabs on cans of beer, tis amazing what can be achieved when they are in need a of fag and drink.
I'm not naive in thinking this kind of living doesn't happen anymore in this day and age and yes, worse is out there but please God hopefully this programme will in some way improve the lives of those children seen last night. Before she reaches her goal of eight children! :brows:

That's what struck me, not one sign of affection was shown to those children. Even when the little boy hurt himself! And I was sure the older girl was going to push the younger one down the stairs. She was so nasty to her sister.

I don't claim to be the perfect mother but if somebody asked me why I have so many children I'd say it was because I love looking after them, I enjoy their company. The thought of them looking after me in years to come has never entered my head and it's certainly not the reason I've got four of them.

I'm sure they are in the minority, there must be thousands of capable blind parents. I accept that they must have difficulty performing some tasks but to sit back and do nothing is just sheer laziness.
