The Stewards held an enquiry under Rule (B)11.6 into possible interference approaching the final furlong. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that the winner, ESCALATING, ridden by James Doyle, had interfered with KIBAAR, placed second, ridden by Paul Hanagan. They found the interference was accidental and had not improved ESCALATING’s placing. They ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
 
This is pocket talk on my part however I find the findings very hard to accept. I think it was a scandalous decision. Kibaar was stopped when delivering his challenge by the winners actions. I think he would have won a length if given a clear run.

Frankly disgusting stewarding.
 
Still cost Kibaar the race. He would have won without be barged into. It was just outside the furlong pole and he was just coming to take it up.

Anyway this kind of sh1t would turn you off punting. Rant over.
 
Didn't see but it as Rab C Nesbitt would say, let me tell you this boys: Moore should have been jailed for the ride he gave Simenon. To these eyes, it was as blatant a non-trier as you'll see in the worst all-weather racing.

I expect we'll see whoever rides make significantly more effort at some point this season, depending on which race(s) he's targeting.

That kind of ride is much more likely to put me off punting than any rough tactics.

Simenon has completely lost his form - why for heavens sake would one not try on a horse like him who will never go anywhere near a handicap save the Melbourne Cup again ?
 
How did Fascinating Rock get the Derrinstown if Kasb didn't get this race. Stewarding is a disgrace in the UK and Ireland.
