this was beautiful

the tapes went up..and for what seemed like an age no one would start..then Daryl jacob went for a 10 length lead whilst others were stood still..i backed Caroles Spirit as quick as i could..was 11.0..got 4.4..easy money..from the moment he poached that lead the others had no chance whatsover ..unless they were Frankel+...of pulling back those lengths with no cost energy wise negated to the winner..hilarious stuff

I've just posted on another thread but it's happening far too often now and is not good for the image of racing at all. Credit where credit due to Daryl Jacob though for using his head. I'm pretty sure this was the second time geraghty been on a shortie and a similar start in the last few weeks surely you learn from mistakes?

to be fair to the jocks..they always think others will start steadily giving them time..but you only need someone to be very positive and you are sat still whilst they 10 in ftont

I remember McCoy doing something similar on Mr Cool in the Long Walk years back......and he very nearly had the great Baracouda's drawers down. Wee Terry was flailing in the last 2f to get the jolly up by a shd.
