Going to keep them separate from the daily picks thread as I may not do much turf form this season, but I will always take interest in the 2yr olds it's the only thing that really keeps me interested through a season as you never know what you might find, plus I'm pretty sure there are lots of 2yr olds from last season on the daily picks thread that I've forgotten about and would take an age to go through it.Hopefully these will throw up some nice bets for ascot etc just the two so far from the other thread going to keep it free of other posts so easy to access..

Another 2yr old winner from Johnston stable and no reason to think that it is just average early 2yr old tracks been riding really quick but running 1m0.78 by 9ls iwith loads of improvement to come there should be some nice races for this one to contest maybe the early Newmarket conditions race seems obvious choice or lily agnes.Todays winning time was .49 slower than the 78 rated king crimson but the 2yr old carrying 5 pound more,i wouldn't chuck three figure rating at this but conservatively giving ease of win weill settle for 90 at this stage.A nice benchmark for the early 2yr olds to match could well be better than that mark as well yet and since this race the runner up has won as well even though a street behind!!

Chupalla

Johnston with yet another monster of a filly winning by 6ls and she never even looked like she was racing infact she was so much bigger than the other fillies she looked more like a miler than a 5f horse, she won in 1m0.09 faster than tiggy wiggy last seasons deutant winner at Kempton and just as impressive, you could probably knock a second off that time with improvement to come.Similarly like the Johnston winner at wolves impossible to really chick figures around but you'd have to think she's not just an early 2yr old but probably a 100 horse and she may even be a little bit special, last season bar a few fillies most were quite poor so chupalla already looks to be setting a high standard. If these aren't johnstons better fillies then he must have something very special.Already I will be keeping a close eye at ascot prioces over the next couple of months, chupalla I though was very impressive even moreso that sutter country..

This and the first season sires threads could well be my favourites! Thanks for your efforts guys.

I was blown away by Chupalla and she has immediately gone on my radar for the Coventry or Queen Mary, possibly Cheveley or Dewhurst aftar that. As you say, she looked a beast.

Sutter county 8/13 with ppower in the novices on Wednesday as I suspected, get your £13 on and lay off at 1.35...:lol:

 Nice start 4/6 thought all the books were going to be 2s on even though there was always the chance on pedigree ground would've been preferanble faster!!!;)

If Richard Hughes knows how to judge unraced 2yos then his Cinque Port should be interesting as the word is that he's very impressed with him. Not entered yet: we shall see.

She's entered in the queen mary, bit early to take prices as nothings run yet she could be well down pecking order but she has the run I thought the way she won as above looked 100 horse, she ran faster than johstons other filly boater that won on the same card impossible to know which is better but chupullas 6 ponts biggert.Sure I will be having another bet as soon as some decent speedfgures are up but for time being worth having a token bet on her at 20/1...

Chupulla 20/1 ppower Queen mary...

Chupullas entered in Albany and looking as though would be suited by further then that more likely, looks like a nightmare season for ante post ascot bets nothings run on decent ground yet so impossible to read anything into the 2yr old form have noted nothing./The Lily agnes looks diabolical as well the two horses from the maidens at Newmarket heading the betting 13/8 and 9/4 if I had to have a bet would probably bet copper night but these formlines maybe worthless yet, need some decent ground quickly..

Getting desperate now for following any 2yr olds everythings been winning on desperate ground and not one decent time clocked on faster ground,if it carrys on like this the ascot races will just be pure guessing, even the times clocked by the soft ground winners have been mediocre at best. Can't ever remember a season this late in without at least 1/2 dozen noted..

Going to have to wait till after ascot to have any idea of which or if any of the present 2yr olds are anygood,no decent formlines and absolutely nothing on the clock can't remember a season like this in recent times..

Zig zag girl

Only a seller but winning by 10ls in a canter couldv;e been 15ls,some decent ground today so was watching the times on the card and a real nice surprise the seller winner running
.78 faster than the SBS horse in the first maiden and 1.33 seconds quicker than the second div, again this is probably showing just how weak the 2yr olds are this season.
The class 3 fillies handicap for horses rated upto 95 was only .38 quicker than the seller, someone else was obviously watching the times as went for 16k afterwards and that could still be a bargain on these times, especially as could've clocked a faster time than the class 3 if ridden out to the line.Thr rpr rating was 63 so mark will be interesting for handicaps and if taking just giddy as the marker in that following handicap or the winner if these times work out you could oput a very conservative mark of 80 to the winner...Hopefully the handicapper will sort of dismiss this run with three previous runs looking so poor, going to ne hard to suddenly bump up to a mark near 80,i get the feeling it will be nearer 70 maybe low 70s..

Strange decision top run zig zag girl after the rain the race was over 1.8 seconds s;ower than sundays when it won in a canter, that hopefully will boost future prioces..

First 2yr old maiden winner to beat an older handicappers time rated 70 winner by .63 of a second and although there would normally be a dozen like this at this stage this season there has been one so far,it's worth having a bet at the current 16/1 and 14/1 on offer.Mark Johnston trained horse won withloads in hand and was backed up by the third which won easily on debut and the runner up has since won by 7ls so the form looks rock solid..This might crash in the betting over the next couple of d days

One of the most impressive debuts of the season, this 2yr old maiden winner out of dark angel running green and picking up with loads of toe in last 1/2 furlong looked completely different class to these with 3 1/2ls back to well backed second and over 11 1/2ls back to decadent times, that runner only beaten that far by sutter county so far on debut so backed up by the form of the 70 rated runner as well.I highlighted this race last year when dhamaan won now rated 100 and beat ajaya 114,looks a natural entry for Norfolk to me will be watching out for prices as can see huge gamble the Norfolk would seem the most sensible entry. The class 3 on the card won by 85 rated tangerine trees was only.19 quicker but carried 5 pound less even though that race wasn't run at any great pace, the 2yr old hacked up in comparison.

Great when the plan comes together, every year I get the Coventry runner to crash be 8/1 by tomorrow tops..

Well done, impressive. I think the 8/1 will go too.

Just a pity for me and others on the thread we couldn't land the 15/8 from 7/2 Chupalla. We'd have a massive position now.

William Hill have decided not to cut Yalta from 10/1. Anyone not on may as well take that price now. He simply can't be a 10/1 shot on the day.

Was hoping that first winner at haydock would've been entered up somewhere at huge prices, 14s for the Coventry biggest, wait to see if entered somewhere else..can't fiond anything for the fiollies yet either hopefully something else will do something in the next few days, maybe something in Ireland..

Mokarris

Another interesting runner and a decent time on the clock,on debut still looking green and looks a horse that will appreciate real fast ground, sire 15% on gd/fm the time was .30 quicker than dream of dreams runner up to sutter county on debut winner of 2nd div and also just .05 slower than 3yr old handicap winner wayward hoof rated 77.That time isn't as good as yaltas run at goodwood but still wouldn't surprise me if turned out just as good as looks like there's loads more to come, betting wise only entered in the Coventry 14/1 hopefully will go for something else at a similar price might even take a price for the Coventry but waiting to see some bigger prices and definite entry

Unless they drop him in trip, the Coventry is the only race Mokarris can go for at Royal Ascot. As I recall, the Chesham is restricted to horses by stallions that won over at least 10f and Mokarris is by More Than Ready, who didn't win over further than a mile.

Am actually hoping avoids ascot or just drifts to a decent prioce as the front of the market are going to shorten up drastically..

Prince of lir

Lots of interesting runners coming along now, prince of lir winning on debut beating brocklesby winner the last lion running green the form didn't look great but the time suggests decent form,as was quicker than the following Hilary needler by .38 and remembering it was prince of lirs debut. The time was actually quickerthan easton angel won the Hilary neelder on similar going last season, just checking through entries only in Norfolk so far and only priced up at 10/1 so books giving nothing away in a hot race, hopefully will be entered in one of the other races at far bigger prices. This looks like another listed class horse at least with normal improvement and at least has something on the clock. Will be keeping a close on on ante post prices, wouldv'e considered 20s for the Norfolk vbut with the front three looking decent the 10s is to short may get bigger yet when proper runners get declared..

Ascot bets ruined by the weather a pity as was sitting with some massive value bets, only had 4/5 to follow as well so far..
