Kauto - my impression was that Don Poli was being ridden in the hope that he'd pick them off from a quick pace. It didn't happen & he definitely wasn't good enough to close the gap when Davy asked him to. That horse will never win a Gold Cup no matter how he was ridden. He won a weak renewal of the RSA & scraped home twice this season against animals we knew weren't good enough.

Get your money on Thistlecrack and it'll all feel much better in 12 months time.
