Can anyone help? My brother in law will be 40 years old in a couple of weeks and he lives in the USA. He loves his NH horse racing and greyhound racing, and golf and I want to get him something special as it is his "big" one. I would need to be able to send it to the US though so not too fragile or bulky or a company where I can get them to send it directly to him.

Any ideas gratefully received? B)

There is a nice son of Shernazar available with Henrietta Knight. His second dam bred Anaglog's Daughter. Hen says that he is a really tough type, very active and jumps for fun. His second dam bred Anaglog's Daughter. There are twelve shares at £3,000 each and I know that there are still some available.

Trouble is you'd be committing him to monthly bills for years...

Thanks 221bar1! B)

Brian/Ardross, I was thinking about a (smaller) share in an NH horse, but obviously he would miss the fun of "being there" when the horse actually runs - especially when it wins. I suppose I could always go in his place! :D My sister watches alot of the racing on the internet but it wouldn't quite be the same would it. I was not thinking of spending quite that much either.

I thought this was quite unusual......

Jockey Cruet set (boxed)

Code: 20000387

This unusual equestrian salt, pepper and mustard set will quickly become a conversation piece at any dinner table. The riding boots are for salt and pepper, the cap is for mustard. There are two riding whip spoons and the tray itself comes replete with spurs. Superb attention to detail. Silver plate and gilt. Hand crafted in England. Comes in its own satin lined box – a perfect gift! Size: H9cm x L17cm x W10cm.

Sounds like it's very suitable for someone who lives in the USA...

When I have to buy a present I just dig out a horse and stick a bet on it for them. Even if it gets beat they still get the excitement out of it. My old dad got wins of £1500 and £600 in the last couple of years before he died.

It seems a risky way to spend £200 to me Tom  , but if someone can guarantee me a 10/1 winner - then I would be willing to risk it! B)
