A company to avoid like the plague

If you were thinking of ordering new glasses online, can I recommend you avoid a comany who advertise under the name 'Want Glasses'.

I'm in my fourth week of waiting for specs which the company claims are usually delivered within 14 days. I keep getting one different excuse after the other.

When I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was on the other line and if I left my number he would call back as soon as he could. An hour later I phoned back and got a taped emssage saying they were closed for the day and could I phone back during working hours 9am-5.30pm. This was at 4.15pm!
 
In contrast, I contacted another company on Tuesday about reading glasses. I did as I had with the first company, but choosing the cheapest frames on offer that would do the job for me (no need for fancy frames for reading glasses, I reckon). £17.95, including lenses, off which I got an introductory 10% discount. They emailed me back within an hour explaining that my prescription was too high for their standard lenses but, in the hope of my returning to them for repeat business, they'd fit higher quality thinner lenses (normally £40 extra) at no extra cost to me. I got an email from this morning telling me my glasses had been despatched. That's pretty good, I reckon! This second company is called Glasses2you.
