Flicked through that article and get the jist which is spot on.
No value can be put on the prevention of further aq attacks because they didn't happen and it has taken a monumental effort to reach that point. There is no doubt that 9 11 was seen as just the beginning and more catastrophic attacks would have followed. Idiot appeasers seem to have no idea what this genocidial organisation stands for.
Aq also blew it themselves. The attacks in Jordan disgusted many waverers in the Arab world and (worth reading the excellent observer writer Jason Burke in this) bin laden and his team were not the brightest too (hysterically ripped off when trying to get nuclear arms)
And the original article supports afganistan as an essential war. Iraq was not about aq despite daft claims by Rumsfeld etc
