Having a racing day today and got a few in mind:

Already on Man of Eden as discussed in the backing today thread https://www.talkinghorses.co.uk/for...g-Today-Part-2&p=796299&viewfull=1#post796299 but I am nervous he hasn’t a top jockey aboard.

Romanova 2:40 Salisbury. Apparently ran in the Class1 Listed at Sandown in case Shuwari (who won) couldn’t run. Didn’t do too badly either and is down three classes to Class4 today with Oisin Murphy aboard.

Cumulonimbus 8:00 Windsor. Runs very consistently and has his conditions today. Usually bowls along up front so have to hope he doesn’t get too competitive with the others who like it up there as well.

Monty Bay 5:10 Salisbury. Ran very well in third at York last time and Clive Cox has been listening to Euro and put him up in distance which should suit nicely.

Embesto 4:10 Salisbury. Really looked like a Group horse on Listed run behind Nostrum at Newmarket last time. A short price now and there are some established top table horses still in.

Started off nicely with a good win for Romanova and then a dead- heat win for Embesto (the bookies jest on the pay out, surely) then a good run into second by Monty Bay, but the writing was on the wall for the win since he drifted to 15/2 from 7/2. Man of Eden next and third was reasonably decent, but just let’s say that I was right to be nervous. Lastly ( and he might as well have been) cumulonimbus who was extremely disappointing. Enjoyed the day :)
