Accommodation in Harrogate

My daughter is looking for accommodation in Harrogate as she starts her hospital medical training.

Anyone know the area, particularly close to the main hospital, which she should look towards/avoid.

I lived there for many years until 2001

The nearby districts of St Andrews and Broadacres are probably best avoided as they are (or were) largely run-down council estates. If it's a flat she's looking for I'd recommend concentrating on the area between Skipton Road and the town centre; the houses here are mainly large Victorian/Edwardian terraced townhouses many of which are now converted into flats. Dragon Road area, Kings Road area, Grove Road area being key names to mention to letting/estate agents

Given her 5 year student loan to repay, I'm hoping she sticks to her 'student' habits.

Thanks anyway. Took a look at the menu, its the type I could never make a single choice from!
