A friend of mine's daughter owns a German-bred ex-racer called ADIOS. He came to the family from Peter Niven's North of England stable, having been injured and being no longer allowed to race.
Adios would appear to have had some success whilst trained in Germany, and I know that the family would love to hear from someone who knew him there, or saw him race.
He is very, very happy in his new home, he has a new best friend with whom he is deeply in love, despite being a gelding, and the long -term intention is for him to do dressage.

There are a couple of forumites at TRF who could help ~ Darren (Anglo German) and Sarah (Sal) know their onions re German racing; not sure if you're a member there but worth a try. If not then there are people here who know people there (if you know what I mean!)

And Crazyhorse would be the most likely on here to help out regarding the horse I would think.

Oops! Of course, not to mention Landlark.

I can not remember Adios but maybe some people from Hans Blume's Yard which i will call the next days ...

He is by Lagunas (so is he a dark-brown too?) out of a mare called Aerope, by Celestial Storm. OK, you will know that. Lagunas (by Ile de Bourbon) won the German Derby in 1984.

Adios ran 10 times and won 3 races over here, being placed 6 times, and his highest rating was 77kg GAG, which is about 78 on your scale if I am correct.

Would be stretching it to say I remember him, too. Still in under Sommerberg Stud, who bred him. He is a brother to Aeskulap, who is a sire now! So is very well bred. He does even have a yearling half-brother by Fantastic Light ! :)

Oh, and thanks for posting this, always great to hear if one was lucky enough to get a good home after.
The guy who looked after our 2-year-old is Stud Manager at Sommerberg now, so will tell him, no doubt family will be pleased to hear. Can ask for foal photos etc too, but this may take some time ....
