I’ve been having a bit of luck at the Newcastle AW meetings recently, specifically on the 5-6 furlong sprints. I mean, this actually sounds ridiculous, but just betting the four highest drawn horses in a combi tricast is yielding results. 24 bets per race at 25p is only £6, but I’ve had returns of 330/1 and 95/1.

The further they run on the straight mile, however, the draw bias seems to flip; so that the lower drawn numbers fill the places!

It seems as easy as shelling peas, no skill required whatsoever. But I have an idea that it would be only under very certain conditions that this might happen ie, when the course is running slow, and there are the optimum 10-12 runners. But it’s one to keep an eye on.
