Rip Van Winkle looks set for Breeders' Cup Classic and Irish 2000 Guineas winner Mastercraftsman will run in Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile

"Rip Van Winkle is in the Classic and we've also entered Mastercraftsman in that race, but his stated preference is for the Mile Dirt race,, However, we are allowed to change preferences closer to the race.''

''Man Of Iron is in the Breeders' Cup Marathon, while Alfred Nobel and Beethoven are both in the Juvenile Dirt.''

"Lilly Langtry is in the fillies' grass race (Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf), while Viscount Nelson is in the colts' grass race (Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf)."

O’Brien has told press that Beethoven is set to join Alfred Nobel in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile race which is run on an all weather style surface called Pro Ride. They will not be the only 2yo's he runs because Viscount Nelson will run in the turf Juvenile race . “The plan is for Beethoven to run in the juvenile dirt. He has always had a lot of ability, but he needs good ground and he was probably starting to get tired of running on bad ground. “When he ran in France they just walked around before sprinting at the end. I would say better ground and waking him up a bit with the visor all helped him at Newmarket,” O’Brien said. “He and Alfred Nobel will run in the Juvenile dirt, while Viscount Nelson will go for the Juvenile on grass. The plan is for Lillie Langtry to go in the Juvenile fillies and Man Of Iron could run in the Marathon,” he added. When asked about Rip van winkle and Mastercraftsman he commented: “Both horses have been busy this season, but we believe they are very good horses and very tough horses,”
