Ruby presumably had the pick of most of this field. If you were him would you pick Zarkandar?

Have had a rubbish Aintree so far with Hinterland falling, Albertas Run getting beat and even Fingal Bay couldn't win. Having said that, Zarkandar is the only bet I'll be having tomorrow. He really excites me and I think he'll win tomorrow.

Three Yes's and no flood of Irish saying Thousand Stars. Looks like we have a 5/2 winner then. Ta.

I like Zarkandar and he would be very near the top of my list for the 2013 Champion Hurdle but I am concerned that he's had two hard races in quick succession whilst suffering from the Ditcheat plague. Despite him apparently blossoming at home, when the chips are down I wonder whether that will count against him.

I am a big fan but I'm not backing him tomorrow because I think next season will be when he shines.

Not sure Ruby would have had the choice on ROR, as Noel Fehily has already won the Champion on him. Given that race was seen as a prep for this, and Zarkandar has 7l to find with him, Rock On Ruby may well go off at a false price anyway.

Fascinating race. In pure terms I'd give Oscar Whisky the edge if they had all been prepared just for this, but in actual terms I'd come down on Zarkandar's side too and that's from someone who gave Rock On Ruby a chance against Hurricane Fly... should be a cracker to watch with Thousand Stars making it even more interesting.

Oscar Whisky was fantastic in this race last year but he is coming here off a hard race at the festival.I don't like backing horses who get outpaced-that rules out Zarkandar.Thousand Stars is finished.
Rock on Ruby is the percentage call-a reigning Champion hurdler who is likely to run his race.

after looking at this closer i'm backing Oscar Whisky..its fair to say had he stood up he would have beaten Overturn at Ascot making his record at 2m4/5...11111
I backed OW for last years CH and then failed to do so in this race..so i'll make up for it today
