Was very much taken by the performance of the Aga's ALAIVAN, trained by John Oxx and ridden beautifully by Mick Kinane, in the Gowran Park Classic Trial today. Bounced out, settled sweetly at the front, suffered no threat of any substance, and won going away. Nice light bay (albeit a bit flashy with four white socks), very well made and athletic-looking, clearly has a great turn of foot. One for ye olde notebook!

Indeed. His action very much suggests he'll be seen to best effect with cut in the ground though.

Bolger horse did not run to form but looks a smart type all the same.

I met someone last night who was cursing the fact that he wasn't running in a maiden.Fairly bold move running him in this race,the stable is absolutely flying.

Interesting to note that the Wachman horse who finished in front of him in that maiden started long odds on for a conditions race at Dundalk.I think his name was Pirate Ship.
