Disappointed to hear that Alison Thorpe is too give up training at the end of the month.

Going racing in South Wales will be much less attractive without her.:(
 
I was very sorry to read this in the paper - she struck me as being a very competent trainer.
 
I suppose there are other things she could be doing. Disillusioned with the game and just 11 winners to show last season. Don't suppose the numbers add up. It's sad to see them dropping out. Don't suppose she'll be the only one...:(
 
Ben Pollock who has trained for me in the past gave up at the end of last year. Dwindling numbers, unpaid bills, poor prizemoney, and increasing costs soon add up to disaster.

He's moved over here to Oz and turned up in Adelaide working as a Farrier, loving life without the pressures of training and running a 16 hour a day business.
