I watched "Phone Booth" last night on the tele. Quite entertaining, although I'm not sure how successful it was at the box office, but surely it is the cheapest film ever made. The phone bill would have been the most expensive part.
I watched it too a while back, I hadnt watched a Colin Farrell film before so didnt know what to expect and although the accent was a bit hit and miss (more miss than anything) his acting wasnt bad, Keifer Sutherland managed to sound really menacing even though he was only a voice on the end of a phone.
I thought it was a simple concept for a film, and it kept my interest all the way through.
I loved the concept of the film when I heard about it first three or four years before it was finally made. It went through about 3 or 4 directors in the meantime with various script and concept changes, and I think that showed through in the end. It wasn't terrible, but I don't think it lived up to its potential - pretty much like just about every other film Joel Schumacher has made, in that sense.
