Had to get this off my chest.

The most annoying thing at the moment is my stupid bed sheet, I put it on my bed and then when i wake in the morning it's all curled up underneath me. Surely they can make sheets or matresses that stay together?

This has only been happening for the past couple of weeks in my uni room and it's really really really annoying :(

You need to get one with elasticated corners that wrap around the mattress and stays taut across.

they are proned to lift off too I think the answer may just be a king size sheet on a double bed and a double sized sheet on a single bed..................... :o  only a wee bit of logic is called for????????

Superglue the sheets to the bottom of the mattress.

Have someone strap you into your bed a la some sort of mental institution.

This should do the trick.

I've got a king size bed and have this problem with my fitted sheet too, so what size sheet should I be using instead? It only comes off on Mr GG's side of the bed though, so the other alternative is to make him kip on the sofa, thus avoiding sheet movements, snoring and teeth grinding, all of which annoy the hell out of me

Griffin this poor man, GG must be good at something!!!? otherwise you would not have married him surely and had 4 children ?................ secrets to be revealed shortly watch this space :P

p.s. I sleep in a double bed on my own, but I think the problem is whether your a good sleeper or not I have a fight on most nights................

He can be quite nice at times  I can't fault him as a father (well he's too soft on them, but apart from that), he works hard for us, he's a good cook, sometimes can be thoughtful (other times I wonder if he has a brain at all), he loves me lots and he's not at all bad to look at :P

We're not married though. We nearly got married about 8 years ago, and if we had gone through with it there's no way we'd be together now. It was me who called it off, and he says I've had my chance so it doesn't look as if we'll get married now

This one does have elasticated corners, thinking the elastic may have gone in it.

Would opt for a bigger bed but it wouldn't fit in my room :(

Fitted sheets have always been fine for me/us. I wouldn't advise trying a bigger size, eg king-size on a double bed. It's bound to be loose to start with.

Sometimes it's just not been spread properly and tucked in tightly enough but fitted sheets should overcome that problem anyway.

If it really bugs you, why not do a bit of DIY and sew some cotton tiers on to the edges and tie them underneath the bed.

By the sound of it, you must be very restless. You must toss and turn a lot

Fitted sheets are a great invention . Take all the skill out of the job . How you oldsters coped with sheets and blankets must have been a right pain

I really hate checking in to a hotel to find no topsheet on the bed, just a fitted undersheet and a covered duvet. This strikes me as a false economy as the duvet covers and duvets inside are more likely to end up soiled while a top sheet would offer protection.

Also, if the duvet is too warm - and I sometimes get far too warm in bed - I can sling it back and use the top sheet as a cover until I cool down again.

Also, duvets tend to just lie on top of the occupant(s) and are therefore moved about by the occupants' movements. A top sheet is usually tucked under at least at the bottom of the bed, ensuring the tootsies don't get cold.

It's hardly rocket science.

When I was in the Brownies, I got a badge for my "hospital corners".

Wonderful memories...... B)

Just lay the sheet flat on the bed, lie on one side, hold the edge and roll over repeatedly to form a cocoon. Remember to stop before you reach the other side of the bed though.
