Another Newbie

Hi all, another new joiner intro.

Afraid I'm not going to be too much help on the form reading front, as I'm a betting by the numbers guy. Chosen field is matchbets using spreads, so that I can focus on just two horses and not worry about the rest of the field.

I've only just re-started having spent many hours a long time ago researching Adrian Massey ratings, and I'm now collecting my own data to research. I've had a short period paper trading and am now off to a reasonable start with a high strike rate on the jumps, but that's only from 5 out of 7 selections, so don't get too excited!

I remember the Massey ratings but never really found a way of making a profit with them.

I also remember the affiliated forum with a mod called Nigel with a habit of being a pain in the arse.
Do you remember Maria with her wonderful laying system that relied on prices that nobody else could ever get?

I didn't use the Massey forum much, but certainly remember Maria. I read somewhere that she took on the forum when Adrian stopped producing the ratings.

I was working with a few others on a different forum (puntersmate), 4thhorseman, mlmrob and MrFox were the main ones that I remember. I used a combination of the actual rating plus min and max, to calculate a new rating and then had a bet if the difference between the 2 was big enough.
