Any Idea How I Can Get Rid Of These Emails?

I have no idea where they got me from but in the past week I have been receiving emails from some American organisation that is giving me (US) stock exchange tips. I have had three or four today alone. When I reply asking - and it gets ruder every time - to be taken off their address list my emaol bounces back with the message that there is no such address.

The emails are all sent under different names, normal male or female first and second names, and when I check them for properties they all appear to be different and from different servers.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can stop them, please?

What format you using?????????? I sometimes wish that members would say whether they have 95 98 or ME or X/P... outlook express or Office outlook, when requesting assistance they all differ to a degree..............thanks

I am also on Win 98 Brian and also get the stock tips plus, diploma offers, pills that will increase my todger by 4 cms in 4 weeks etc etc.

Fortunately my UK ISP provider filters out this rubbish but I receive them via a server in the US where my other E mail accounts are routed from.

I never take up offers of requesting that I be deleted from their mailing lists because by replying, I will only be confirming my address.

I can't help Brian - other than to say that they also have my business eMail address and I get lots of these. You ill notice that each one originates with a different 'sender' name - so you can't block at the 'sender' level.

My company has some kind of anti spam software chappy that I fwd them to and he finds the IP address and bans it, but they still get through.

Is there not, in tiny writing at the bottom, a link to unsubscribe your email?
Not with this sort, PDJ.

At least I don't get the penis extension emails - they must be very aware of which market sectors need it...

I'm with XP and I used to get loads but they are reducing now to a couple a week.
I used to block sender but as someone has said thay change each time. Are they getting the addresses from this site somehow - working on the basis that we might all be gamblers or, at the very least, investors?

As they are not after anything from those to whom they send emails and they all tout the same stock I can only guess that they are after raising the share price for their own ends

You can gradually filter these e-mails out by using certain key words i.e choose a word that appears in most of them e.g. enlargement, pills or shares in a filter. After a short while only the odd one or two will get through and you can filter those for future occasions as and when.

I get millions of mails offering me pills to extend my willy......

Any chance you could forward one on to me?

:shy: [/b][/quote]
:o !! You want a WILLY forwarded on to you from Trudi..???????????? :o :P

brian

u should not reply to these emails

u have just confirmed to them u are a being and the email address they have is
the correct one

they will now add your email address on to other mailing lists

and do not even use the unsubscribe button as that will also prove to the spammers they have the correct email address for you

the only solution is anti spam software

the only solution is anti spam software
Like I have already posted i.e. AD-AWARE S E professional...... and although they supposedly are coming from a different ISP SERVER'S just add them to your BLOCKED LIST .....I know it’s a nuisance but these people are one step ahead of us as it’s their business to be just that...........

If you listen to these people Merl, Ive got hundreds - of all kinds of shapes, sizes and probably colours.....
  Sorry Trudi ( did not mean to ignore your post) but have you!!! really??????????? :)

sorry merlin

i wasnt trying to take the credit from you

i was just pointing out that replying or using the delete section only confirms to the sender the have in their possesion an actual email address as the lists they purchase contain many errors

No problems P-R..... I was only endorsing that I already had put up, in case others did not read them ....

And your correct in what your saying mate, with regards to answering them it only confirms they have reached their target!!!............. ;)

I actually have my security on the highest setting on my email inbox... I use MICROSOFT OFFICE OUTLOOK and I use X-P PRO as my Operating Programme/system.................

I said in the third reply on this thread that it was unwise to answer because it confirms your address which more or less proves that only the original posting is read

Brian,

I've been getting these too. Is your email address anywhere on the internet in its full form? Bots will probably be picking it up.
