If a thread is moved and you are getting the message that you cannot view it , it means it has been transferred to Moderators Only .

As Col explains on the All Read please thread it may be transferred back to General Chit Chat later.

Went to the All read topic and cannot see where Col explains anything of the kind ?

Another of lifes great forum mysteries. When threads are moved, it's either moved to the correct section of the forum, or if can then not find it presumably we have to assume that it has been taken away to be analysed by the moderators?

It's clearly been moved for a reason. Not one I have any idea about, but I'm sure it wouldn't have been moved unless there was a good reaso
n for it.

Blimey... over twelve hours later, and the jury's still out - we only took nine hours to return on 13 counts on the jury last month! It'll be a great forum when five or six new topics get moved for review, and can't be returned or humanely destroyed in under a day! I am SO glad not to be trying out the new, easy-to-use system... :brows:

Problem is that Col has set it up to transfer threads in but the permissions are wrongly set so only he can transfer them out again .

I understand that is being attended to.

Panic not, forum-folk, I for one have asked for its return.

However, you should know there might be a sting in the tail...... B)

Yes COL did mention this it was to stop MODS deleting something they deemed as contentious and the poster had no recall because it was deleted!

Under this current system it can be viewed by himself and other MODS to make a decision...

I would have thought this was the correct way to go, not to have a dictator deleting things he wanted to delete because he deemed them as being not to his liking and contentious, but to let the JURY have a squint at them too, then and only then would they be deleted or reposted whatever decision they arrived at.....

What is happening here, when is the thread coming back?

I saw a bit of the programme last night, but it was mainly going over ground that had been covered before, so I switched it off. Maybe I missed the best bit, anybody see the whole thing?

Check out the race names at Fakenham on Friday:

FAKENHAM

Friday 17th February

1:50 "One Year On And Hunting Still Continues" Beginners' Chase (cl4)
2:20 Hunting Is Crucial To The Countryside Selling Handicap Hurdle (cl5)
2:50 "Hunting Will Survive The Ban" EBF "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle (Qualifier) (cl4)
3:20 Hands Off Our Hunting Handicap Chase (for the Prince Carlton Challenge Cup) (cl4)
3:50 Hunting Act - "Still Unworkable Legislation" - Handicap Hurdle (cl4)
4:20 P.H. Betts (Holdings) Ltd Hunters' Chase (for the Walter Wales Cup) (cl5)

I particularly hate the title of the 2:20

With the joke that is the National Fallen Stock Scheme, I suspect that to many farmers - who under the Single Payment Scheme are recognisied as the primary custodians of the countryside - hunting, and more importantly access to the services that hunts provide, is crucial to the countryside.

We're waiting for Col to switch on the facility for us Mods to be able to put back threads that we've put in the Black Hole for Deliberation.

However, if the the thread starts to get nasty or personal as the previous hunting threads have done, then be warned - I am going to just delete it.

Just like that....

Damn power-crazed bitch... B)
