ANZADAM

Could've put some sort of warning on the title i.e bad news about Anzadam, Ian's gonna be spitting out his choice of Tescos meal deal when he reads that.

Tbh, Luke I don't get that involved ante-post, and Anzadam was just a small segment of my portfolio.

I've got numerous Cheltenham bets - the best probably on paper being 33/1 East India Dock for the Triumph and the worst being the now two non runners I've backed.

It's all part of the game.

Back in the day winning ante post bets at Cheltenham earned you a lot of kudos with knowledgeable punters especially if you nailed you colours to the mast a long way out. There was nothing like a winning ante post bet turning your festival around.Over the years I have got more reluctant to get involved due to the emotional turmoil when one is injured in his final pre festival gallop.

Tbh, I've never been that interested in "kudos."

I'd rather quietly win long term, than noisily lose long term with the occasional triumphalist bit of bragging along the way.
