Might as well be me who kicks it off.
Anyone caught your eyes, for the big one in October ?
I suppose the two Derby winners are obvious candidates.
One who caught my attention was Sosie. Didn't have the best of runs, before staying on to be 3rd in the French Derby yesterday. Trained by the master. I reckon there is a lot of improvement in this colt, to come yet.
The 40/1 appeals as an ew price.

Way too early for me to be thinking about the race but you'd have a good long conversation with my brother who starts talking about it soon after the race has been run for the following year!

I prefer to hold off until nearer the time to see what comes to the fore in the midsummer/early autumn G1s.

I had a dabble at 7/1 and he's now 4/1 with some books..........If he wins the Irish derby and Aiden hints at hom going for the Arc he could be 2 or 3/1 pretty soon then I will lay him off again.

No way would I back now to win in October and let it run if I can get out

I have no clue at this stage apart from to point out that AOB has never won this with a 3yo, so City of Troy's price is heinous.

Down to run in the Grand Prix De Paris on Saturday.
Only Betfair have priced it up so far.
4/1 Sosie. I may jump in + take that.
Needs to be winning this, if he's an Arc contender.

JUDGE!

Won the Grand Prix De Paris over the Arc course and distance emphatically just now.

Strength of the form debateable, but at least you're surely on a runner as they're bound to train it for the race now.

Current best odds:
4/1 Sosie
13/2 Look de Vega
7/1 Shin Emperor
9/1 Los Angeles
11/1 Delius
12/1 Al Riffa, Bluestocking
16/1 Aventure
20/1 Ombudsman, Content
25/1 Mqse de Sevigne

Looks open at this stage. I'm on Delius at 20s, ew chance I guess. The Jap horse is the only horse I'd consider adding at this stage. He ran a much better race in the ICS than his full brother did before winning his Arc. Hoping for 10s on the day.

Shin Emperor for me-the owners told Fran Berry he was 80% fit for Leopardstown.

I read that on the either the RP or ATR site the day after.

I followed Simon Rowlands in on Aventure after the Vermeille. Connections never have them 100% in that.

I'm still sticking to Shin Emperor with Luke but I just came across an antepost bet i had when I backed and laid City of Troy......apparantly I have 30 quid coming no matter which horse wins so I will stick 15 quid ew on Sunway around 60/1 on the machine

Shin Emperor's draw is moderate and I don't trust the jockey with less than a plum berth. I've topped up ew on Delius and Al Riffa I've added also ew.

Elsewhere on the card the l'Opera is bettable with Fallen Angel heading the market. I have her as a questionable stayer and have backed Sparkling Plenty who finished like a train in the Vermeille from a detached position.

I've had a wee look through the Arc field.

Is this the worst ever renewal?

Not one of the entire field is rated above 120 [officially] although a couple of the fillies might get over that mark with their allowance factored in but it's a wholly uninspiring field. It's effectively a G1 handicap.

I see Mqse De Sevigné is a huge price (66/1) and drifting. I'll probably have a bob or two on her but will hold off for now in case she drifts even more. She has never raced beyond 10f but I fancy she'll get the trip and the ground won't be an issue.
