Are you paranoid about horse racing forums?

In light of the fact i've been told I was once talking privately to a man (no names of course) that I thought was a woman on this and another forum (about horse racing of course!) I kind of feel a tad paranoid about who goes on these forums and who knows what about who.... type - of -thing?

Maybe this is silly, but I am a bit knackered so just wondered what you straight/clean/good/honest people think?:ninja:

Right, Mycenean Princess if your out there come out come out wherever you are...

Think before you post, but don't think to hard as you can please some of the people all of the time, and some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.
Happy posting

On just about every forum I belong to I'm 'And', it happens to be what my niece has always called me.
It's short for Andrea, but I would much rather not have my gender be a point of issue. Some people assume I'm male, some pick up that I'm female. However, I've never pretended to be what I am not, in any way, shape or form. I dislike pretence, plus a good liar needs a good memory, so I'm ruled out on that count, anyway.

I thought I'd use my real name on the old Ch.4 forum, and soon started getting some snidey comments from guys determined to prove to the world that they were straight, and didn't share my interest in ladeeeze clothes and handbags. It took me some time to realise that being called Jon, they'd thought I was a flaming queen. I explained that I was, in spite of the moniker, a female, but every now and then one of them would have to have a dig. Which spoke volumes about their attitudes. So, I'm now a deranged Arabian gelding instead, which seems to cause no problem at all! Funny old world, ain't it?

(Oh, that's cute - I've just realised there's a green light to show when members are online! But where's the handy 'top' function to whizz you to the top o' the page? Is it hiding?)

I could probably find a way to put it somewhere more convenient, any suggestions? Next to the post number at the top right of each post?

Ohhhhhh.... I see it now! Of course, I haven't been scrolling down far enough! Thank you, Colin. Don't worry, Gareth - everyone else knows how to use the board, I'm sure. It's just that I'm not used to it yet. I've just found out that the quill pen represents a 'quick' reply, too! Flippin' voyage of discovery, this is...
