This business about her leaving the BBC has been rumoured for a while, in fact, I thought she'd already gone and was surprised to see her on the BBC Derby team.

She was offered the chance to black up and be a female Rishi Persad, but drew the line at having her brain surgically removed.

Seriously, she's a fine journalist and her Times offerings are always worth reading.
