I might have said the odd unkind thing about her, but then again her rear end wouldn't disgrace a 5F sprinter in my totally unfair opinion. Personally I've struggled to get this image out of my mind of her doing a piece to camera, only to be interupted by the stall handlers and bustled into a starting gate half way through it, kicking and screaming, (quite probably with the aid of blindfold in all decency). It first occurred to me at Goodwood, when I thought I saw a handler move towards her, and then do a double take in time to realise his error (I swear he was going to lead her in). It was when the camera cut down the track leaving us with a rear view of Miss Hiss that I suddenly realised why he could make such a mistake. Ever since then I've been praying that a group of handlers might mischeviously try and load her   It would be priceless tele, so if there's any stallhandlers out there, consider this an appeal in the finest tradition of April fools etc  h34r:

But in fairness, she's along way from being the worst in the business, and I actually think she's a pretty good journalist. So far as I know, she even writes her own articles, and most importantly of all, isn't as sychophantic as so many insiders are, and is one of the few whose prepared to rock the boat when it needs doing, and calling it as she sees it. Racings not short of the odd load mouth who might similarly claim to be providing such an insight, but Lydia manages to do with a degree of measured reason, which occasionally could be mistaken for authority. In a way I actually share her assessment of where she can most productively contribute, and my gut reaction is that she's made the correct decision, and I wish her well.
