A shame that this isn't the final but never mind.

The sort of game that you want both sides to win.

I hate most politicians and a lot of journalists. On the other hand the politicians are doing it whereas the journalists just write about how you should do it.

On the other other hand journalists are a bit up their own arses.

On the other other other hand so are politicians.

Oh I dunno......

I hate both, but only in their worst forms. An honest politician is to be admired as much as a truthsaying journo.

However, because I admire the way that some of the dirty hacks can have a greasy-slick no principled MP (or PM) dancing on hot coals when they've been caught with their pants down, I have favoured them.

Can't see the Honourable Members being beaten from here.....

Oooh, this is tricky - after all they're both low pond life but it's difficult to know which feeds off what....

We should, now I come to think of it, have included Civil Servants in this Arse Proffy Cup... after all, many a politician has entered politics with the best of intentions, only to come up against the faceless bureaucracy that is the Civil Service and realise, too late, that it's almost impossible to change the status quo....

I demand a re-run - and some dioxin....

Dunno about dioxin, but I could do with a mountain of solpadol to sort out my head.......

It's simple. Work out how many politicians are a credit to their profession, then work out how many journalists are ditto. Then calculate the percentages. Then vote for the lower percentage.

On second thoughts, it looks as if you already have.

I have to say, I find the ridiculous generalisations from otherwise relatively intelligent members of this forum to be slightly disturbing.

Seems like there are massive massive chips wedged on some people's shoulders and this competition is a means of unleashing them.

Embarrassing.

Shut up whinging Dan.

Out with the cabbies - you're going out with the cabbies......out with the cabbies....you're going out with the cabbies.

Anyone would think Dan was a journalist, stating the obvious like that

Who? Me? :D

I'm actually slightly more disturbed by the underlying snobbery aimed at professions such as bus drivers/taxi drivers. Very unfortunate.

Ah, get over it Dan - if we were really snobbish, no way would taxi and/or bus drivers even be deemed a profession!!

The idea....

Dan, I don't drive and work nearly 2 hours from where I live by public transport yet it is only 24 miles away. I dislike public transport with good reason.

And I can't for the life of me think why terry included hire companies along with builders...
