Day 1
2:30 I thought INSPIRAL ran a cracking race in second and looks back to her best, although Gosden says she’ll come on for the race.
3:05 ARMY ATHOS was left in the lead from a long way out, but stayed on strongly and was only just denied.
3:40 TWILIGHT CALLS got squeezed at the start, raced in the rear and was making good headway when didn’t get a clear run a furlong or so out. Would have finished much closer otherwise.
4:20 ISAAC SHELBY was another who didn’t get a clear run and would have finished a lot closer
5:35 FRANCESCO CLEMENTE had a nightmare from the get go so in rear, then had to brake hard when making up ground early on and if that wasn’t enough got caught up in traffic in the straight. Where he would have finished is anyone’s guess, but you can’t draw any conclusions from this race.
Day 2
3:05 TARRABB didn’t get a clear run when it mattered and would have finished closer than third.
4:20 MOSTADAF looked a strong winner and I think it will take a tough horse to beat him.
5:00 I thought AWAAL ran a cracker into third on unsuitable ground. Will keep him in the book and wait for give in the ground.
Day 3
3:40 BLUESTOCKING didn’t get a clear run where it mattered and would have finished much closer.
5:35 TORITO was another who didn’t get the best of runs and would have finished much closer.
Day 4
3:40 MORACANA and another the same. AIMERIC ran a solid race back in eighth place and should pick up a race down in class, maybe.
4:20 REMARQUEE lost a shoe and got squeezed up just as she was getting going, but finished well.
5:00 MAGICAL SUNSET won the far side race, but all the pace was with the near side.
Day 5
3:40 SACRED looked as though she was going to win this, but she is still class.
4:20 CHANGINGOFTHEGUARD was hampered where it mattered and would have been much closer at least.
6:10 RUN FOR OSCAR looked to be going very easily when he got caught in a box against the rail in the straight. Finished very well when squeezed through and would have been much, much closer at least.
