Russell Crowe's been at it again. He was arrested in New York during the early hours of the morning and charged with assault after allegedly hurling a telephone at a hotel employee.

Apparently angry at not being able to get through to Australia, Crowe got into an argument at his New York City hotel and threw the phone at a member of the hotel staff. The hotel worker is said to have suffered minor cuts and was treated at a local hospital. Meanwhile Russell Crowe was taken into custody, fingerprinted and charged with second-degree assault.

Russell, whose new film "Cinderella Man", based on the life of world heavyweight champion James J Braddock, was over here on Sunday morning for the Ricky Hatton fight and was introduced from the ring.

Perhaps he was just tired and jet-lagged, eh?
 
Not sure if this has already been posted about but Christian Slater was arrested last week also.

Yes, for pinching someones bum. I was reading Jeremy Clarksons column in a paper at the weekend and he said his wife would be beside herself with joy if Christian Slater pinched her bum. I have to say I agree. I think even if a complete stranger pinched my bum in the street I'd see at as the joke it was intended to be, not sue for sexual assault :rolleyes:
 
I have met Russell Crowe and can honestly say that he comes across as a complete prima donna, and it's not just the Press exaggerating. I went to his band's gig at a tiny little London club (300 tickets and I got 4) and we got searched before we went in to make sure we didn't have cameras. Beforehand, he deigned to come out to sign autographs, only to chuck a complete hissy fit when someone took his photo. I've never even seen a child throw a tantrum like Crowe did.

Minutes later, he had the cheek to send out a roadie with a video camera to take footage of his "fans" (by now I was a former fan!) waiting to get into the venue. Being me, I chucked a complete hissy fit in front of the camera...
 
Doesn't surprise me one whit - you can stuff him and Mel Gibson where the sun don't shine as far as I'm concerned. Tossers.
