I've been trying to change my avatar and it's just not having it. I've enlisted the help of the amazing trig and even he can't get it to work. I now need to contact Col. Has anyone had the same problem?

What is the connection between 'Ballad of John and Yoko' and the Wings 'Band on the Run' album?

That was the IG advert suggested by someone else - I've been trying to get rid of it and in the end had to get Col to help as it wasn't accepting any replacements

Just in case anyone was interested the connection was as follows:

The Ballad of John and Yoko was recorded whilst Ringo was filming the Magic Christian and George was on holiday. So McCartney had to play all of the instruments that Lennon couldn't play, which was most of them. So Macca played drums among other things. This was a little surprising seeing as eight weeks previously they had been at each other's throats during the 'Let It Be' sessions.

Band on the Run was recorded in Africa, shortly after most of Wings had split. So Macca had to play all of the instruments again, including the drums. The result was perhaps the finest Beatle solo album - certainly Macca's best effort.

I was interested, thought maybe one of the "prisoners" had been involved in some way. Now I'm off to think up more Beatles trivia questions.

Ok one for you.

Which was the last Beatles album to be completed?

I'm not talking about compilations or remixes or any of that shite.

Here's a couple for starters.

What is the link between "All You Need Is Love" and Carly Simon's "You're So Vain"?

How did the Beatles achieve the "sounds like I'm singing from the top of a mountain" effect witnessed on "Tomorrow Never Knows"?

Abbey Road was the last to have ben completed. It just happened to have been released before Let It Be.

It's frightening that it was almost 35 years ago.

And here's some more for the list, some easy, some not so easy.........

What was their longest stretch of no. 1 's (in the UK)
Name one of the bands that supported them on their final gig at Candlestick Park.
Which merseybeat hit the does George quote from in "Its All Too Much"
What was the pseudonym used by the Beatles engineer when he made his own record.
And the title of his hit single?
What Cream song does George play rhythm guitar on?
And how did it get its name?
On what Beatle song does John play the clavioline?
Who played Sgt Pepper live 3 days after its release with the beatles in the audience?
What song did paul write for Badfingers first hit on the apple label?
Who played drums on the single version of "Love Me Do"

Crikey.

Did George play on Badge? Nothing to do with Blue Peter I presume. :D

Was the drummer on Love me Do Andy White or Alan White? I think that Ringo played the LP version.

Come and get It was the Badfinger song.

Dunno why he didn't play the drums himself......

Badfinger's song was something about "if you want me, here it is, come and get it"
but can't remember the title unless it was "Come and Get It"

The Ronnettes were one of the support acts at Candlestick Park.

While we're thinking about the others, here's one from me: how many live appearances did the Beatles make on Top Of The Pops?
