Avatar Question

I dont know if it`s just my comp, but there are certain avatars that dont show up on mine, just a blank square with small red cross in the upper left corner. Irish Stamp and An Capall`s are the ones that spring to mind.
 
That happens to me sometimes. Forcing a full refresh of the page (CTRL+F5) might do the trick.
 
I've no idea what mine's meant to be - it's been like that a fair while. I've got a couple i've tried to change it to but been unable to thus far and didn't want to bother mods or Col by PMing them etc.

That's what I get if anyone knows how to rectify it?
 
File size?

"Your avatar must be no bigger than 64 pixels by 64 pixels in size. Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 20 KB.
The following file types are allowed: gif .jpeg .jpg .swf .png"
 
Thanks Betsmate, had no idea which one I was using but tried the Too Much Bling one but was too small, so now a Jazil one will do (can read the writing too), other read "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that Bling"
 
I know all the rules about uploading avatars but yet again I can't get the system to take any that I want. I have had this problem before.

The people whose avatars we can't see are not aware that that is the case as they can see them themselves.
 
I couldn't see mine Brian, just got the regular red square in a box Avatar. Have found that it's uploading from my computer that seems to be the problem, if you link direct from a website it seems to work better.

That`s what i suspected. My avatar is a logo from an American sports team. I have it because i like it rather than any love for the franchise.

Five points for the first forumite to identify the team.
