Not got much to lose.
I have just read in the Metro, with utter disbelief the sentences, handed out to the three adults involved in this appalling situation. How on earth have they only been charged with grievous bodily harm and got off so lightly? It is descipable what this child went through. Any 'professional' person who had involvement is guilty surely of neglience of duty if nothing else. When they are released public money will be used to protect them. I seriously despair.

The judge ruled that the parents' identities should be given out. Their photographs are all over the place. The woman looks a proper neanderthal and the man is a pro-Nazi thug obsessed with knives. It was also revealed that the 2 men involved had been involved in the torture of their grandmother to make her change her will.

How the hell did Social Services justify leaving a child with this lot? The mother had 4 others all in care, why was the baby not taken too?

Sickening.

I think the public will do more harm to them than they did the poor little boy when/if they get let out, not to mention the other inmates! with any luck!!!

Also read The Metro today that one of men was also connected to the rape of 2yo girl. Makes you wonder what the world is coming to :(

That's just foulness beyond foul. Put the arsehole in common population and spread the word what he did - the inmates will do the job for the rest of us, and he won't be spared any pain. He deserves castrating, without anaesthetic. Utter, utter, utter scum.

Words actually fail me in concern of this whole case. But I hope no one sinks to their level and dirties their own hands. Though I must admit this one most definately makes you feel like...... need I really say!!!

What comes next its one thing after another with regards child abuse and raping a two year old!

Castrate the males?[surely should be gelded being that this is, after all Talking Horses] definitely!! I would agree there, but what about the shagging machine that produced 5 kids????[ polyfilla???? or a chastity belt] with the key thrown away, if they can tag others for transgressing and breaking laws, then why not a chastity belt? for someone like this..... the fecking low of the low comes to mind.......

I was talking about the 2yo rapist by the way. The baby P case is horrific but raping a 2yo is heinous. It's unthinkable that any human being could even let such a thought cross their minds. It's horrific, what an animal.

Point taken. He must be such a vile person - chuck him in general population and spread the word what he's done. They'd have a whale of a time torturing him.

we need to needle these people in the arm and then get rid of them..in some waste ground somewhere..no fuss or mess..just take them to a place..and remove them from the face of the earth

you never see the anti capital punishment brigade speaking up at times like this either do you?

Yes you do. As vile as it all was (and its unspeakable) i do not believe in state executions full stop. There are times when its been more than tempting to wish it upon certain criminals, but, even if you morally agree with the eye for eye objctive or public revenge, there have been enough miscarriages of justice through emotive procescutions to not let this cat out of the bag.

I dont agree with revenge attacks, it is no different from the first act, others may not think so but I see revenge and capital punishment as no different. No one has the right to any other persons life. To a certain extent you are only showing what the murderer did to be correct and it is not.

We've had the capital punishment debate frequently on here over the years so why bother repeating our views? Doubt either side will change after all.

Agree completely with Clive and Toobe on this one - taking anyone's life isn'yt acceptable in a supposedly civilised society and it isn't a deterrent. However, life imprisonment should mean exactly that - life with no possibility of parole for crimes in this league.

I don't agree that it is not a deterrent, I'm old enough o remember when any murder was on the front pages, now it is an every day ocurrence, two column inches on page 8.
This document bears out my opinion, the rise in homicides began at exactly the time of the abolition. I only have an ancient Adobe Reader so the link is to the full document, page 16 is the relevant page.

Absolute rubbish

High murder rates in the US are not detered by capital punishment are they? In fact, frequently the states with the worst rates are those that still use the chair. Could ebe argued that capital punishment actually contributes to a culture of violence and revenge...

America is the only western country with capital punishment (in fewer and fewer states). It is the only relevant example of whether it works as a "deterent" or not

I thought that was obvious.....

High murder rates in the US are not detered by capital punishment are they? In fact said:
I would say it is more likely than not. How can it be said that it was wrong to do what they did in the first place and then justify a similar act. Agreed though life is life and in circumstances such as these it really should be.
