Bailiff Visit!

I have just had a bailiff turn up on our doorstep for non payment of Council Tax

The details........

£4.20p from our previous address 1997

We haven't lived there for over five years, all our CT payments are made by DD so none of them would even amount to £4.20p apparently there must have been a clerical error but I now owe £94.20p as there is a £90 bailiff fee added to it :teeth: I politely told them I work for a local newspaper & if they did not sort it out I would have a story done on it so I am waiting for a phone call from the council this afternoon

I once had bailiffs turn up at one of my old houses. There was a very naughty chap who kept staying at hotels, giving his address as mine and then leaving without paying the bills. I had about five or six letters addressed to him at my house :angry: When the bailiffs arrived to collect the money owed they were quite nasty to me and I'm sure didn't believe my protestations that I didn't know the man and he certainly didn't live with me!
