Bandari had covered around 80 mares this year. Got an injury when out grazing and had to be put down. Should be in the Racing Post in the morning.

Shame, I knew him when he was with Mark. Lovely looking horse, but of a character but was talented. Was a favourite of Dierdre Johnston, she used to ride him a lot.

My friend works in the yard. Its a small operation so they have taken the loss to heart. I really feel sorry for them. It was just a case of a bad weather meaning there was loose ground on top when he was out grazing.

He had trouble with his legs when in training so I guess he was susceptible to injury too.

I did not see it on the website, have not had the actual paper today. They really ought to do a little tribute to him, was around for long enough.
