My modest bank has finally been emptied, it has survived for nearly three years, so not a complete failure. It has had highs and lows over time as I have tinkered with my selection process but mostly it has been a sine wave around the original amount.

I have decided not to start again as I have lost a lot of interest lately for various reasons, just not getting the ‘buzz’ anymore.

I wish you all the best in future and leave you with Spock’s ‘Live Long and Prosper’.

I may treat myself to a Saturday Patent or Lucky 15 occasionally and will look in to the forum now and then.

Three years' fun for a modest bank is not bad going, walsworth.

I remember about 40 years ago we moved to a house with only one bookie within about ten miles and it was a small independent.

It was too far for me to walk and I didn't want to drive any time I wanted a bet so I popped in one day and asked if I could leave a £30 deposit and phone up my bets. It would only be £1/£2 singles, I told him, so he agreed.

That £30 deposit lasted the three years I lived in that house. I thought that was great value for money!

Any chance you could finally start doing a half-decent job as my Butler, then?

As many of my leftovers as you can eat, plus a second-hand company Penny Farthing and I've seen precious little in return on either, frankly!

You can poke your posh grub leftovers up your didgeridoo sport, and as for the Penny Farthing, how do expect a poor worn out old bugger like me to mount that?

You can get me one of them E-scooters though, I might be able to chase the girls with that. I’d probably fall off though.

In late 50’s my Dad’s favourite bet was a 3d Patent, cost 1/9d. Considering that beer was about 1/4d at that time, today’s equivalent would be a £1 Patent.

I look forward to members helping me out on Friday with nice solid selections of at least 5/1 please.

I will have to remember how to write a slip now.
