Technicality, Technicality - I hear on the BBC

But if her homehelp was an illegal worker, there could not have been the necessary documents to photocopy.

If B. Scotland had said I wrongly employed the spouse of a close friend (which I believe the worker was) I could have forgiven and forgotten but blaming a photocopier oversight is farcical.

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the case, when your boss backs you publicly but suggests that you apologise profusely and the best that you can come up with is that it is like paying a fine for forgetting your congestion charge, it leads me to question:

a) her intelligence
b) her boss's judgement

The BBC were hardly likely to lay into her were they

Imagine if it had been Jonathon Aitken or Neil Hamilton (and i dont like either myself)

So what are you all trying to say, but afraid to do so?
Just why is this woman a baroness anyway, who the hell is she?
Whatever happened to old Labour?
More questions than answers I'm afraid, but I have no idea of what is happening to this country now, time was when I knew who was in charge, but I don't any more.
We have become a banana republic with no bloody bananas, riddled with corruption and jobs for the boys, but no jobs for the people who know what they are doing.
If any one suggests that dopey Dave and his merry band of outlaws can do any better I shall thcream and thcream until I'm thick.
