I'm so fed up with it.

Anyone else have his with 365?

It keeps happening to me; I place a bet in running on a horse that's, say, 20/1 but when I place my stake it only will give me reduced odds, and I mean reduced. It's just happened again. The horse was 20/1. I went to take a bet and all of a sudden it was 12's so I didn't do the bet. When I went back to the race again, it was back at 20's.

This happens so much, I thought I'd check to see if it happens to anyone else.

Simple answer - “yes”.

It happens to me with one bookie (off the top of my head I can't recall which; one I don't use often) but not with in-running bets, with ordinary bets.

I don't bet in-running - maybe the extremely occasional football bet - because I think the I/R punter using, like me, a laptop is at a disadvantage.

I imagine I/R punters would really need to be at the track to benefit. Digital TV, I think, has a longer delay in transmission than the old analogue system, then there's the time taken to submit the bet then the time for the bet to be processed. This could amount to nearly half a furlong in a sprint, by which time the complexion of the race could have changed.

Or maybe yous young yins just have much faster reaction times than me.

But the point is that the price shortens when I try to take but then goes back to the original after I’ve bet/abandoned the bet.

Yes, that's what happens to me with that bookie. I'm just saying it happens to bets outside of I/R.
