There's some strange rule about not getting your money back for 3 days or something...

Traditionally, football games which are postponed but rearranged within 72 hours are deemed not to be void for betting purposes. Obviously, where there are no plans to rearrange those games then betting operators should be voiding them, but those are the rules.
