Chaps/Chapettes,

I know this has been discussed before but i can't find the relevant threads; i'm away in Madeira for the Arc and with forecast storms for Sunday what better way to ruin the missus Sunday than to make her watch the Arc :) I can seem to stream RUK (Which is a surprise) but can't access Betfair and various other sites - Can someone recommend an IP blocker that works for a macbook?

All help much appreciated!!
 
Aragorn, I have never used one but I believe a Virtual Private Network is what you are after.

A paid for service is something which a friend of mine said is the best option as they tend to be more secure with your information. I can't get much on my pc as still at work, but if you Google PVN reviews for MacBook I am sure you will find what you require. I will be home later this evening so I will have a proper look and try to provide some links etc.

Most sites seem to work abroad on your phone. Often the app doesn't work but the mobile site does.

Also with betfair on a recent trip to Portugal I found it worked using 3G but not wifi.

I managed to bet successfully with Hills, VC, 365, Betfred and Coral while i was there.
 
Be aware, the time of Sunday's Arc has been brought forward to 2.55pm with the Abbaye now at 3.40pm instead of 1.00pm
 
I couldn't get to a single UK&I betting website from Italy. Best to check in advance - tweeting the relevant organisation should tell you what's locked-down from where.
 
Thanks gents - Managed to get a bet on through an old Betway account but Betfair can only be accessed behind a VPN. Can't get on ATR a but RUK no probs, find that strange but not complaining as that's where I would watch it.

Toffee, based on some buggering around this afternoon I'd say your mate is right, the free software keeps dropping me every fifteen mins.

DG, saw that, no reason given either, strange?

Grassy, perhaps your near mythical/legendary betting means you're just banned everywhere?!!
 
Always go to Gran Canaria... Bet fair sometimes works..hit and miss.
SkyBet is the only one that always works over there...not mainland Spain though?
