Well after shouting loudly that she would run all season and was in the form of her life - the team have called it a day on her career.

Anything to do with shipping her up here for a date with Frankel? Did they decide that after last years near disaster then trying it again and then breeding would be a step too far?

Still you cant knock her record (can you?)

I did wonder when they said they were "considering her future" last night, just wonder if she's picked up another niggly injury (or a return of one)

Thanks for the memories Nelly, you are a wonderful racehorse and you will hopefully be a fantastic mum!!
 
To be honest I have been on the sauce with a freind for about 10 days and never knew until two friends who just arrived from OZ brought it up last night when we were playing pool.

She was in my mind the greatest sprinter I ever saw despite Ascot.

I'm just sad she didn't come back and show she was as good at her job as Frankel was at his.

Gawd knows what they two will produce if they get together.......mind boggling.
