Now David Blunkett blames his downfall on a millionaires' plot to destroy a 'working class lad who's the voice of ordinary people', friends disclosed last night to the Sunday papers.
Yeah, right, David. Nothing at all to do with shagging another guys wife, making her pregnant and upsetting the entire family by insisting on a public battle for access to the children? Nothing at all to do with abuse of high office by arranging special help for the then girlfriend's servants? Nothing whatsoever to do by pissing off those cabinet colleagues whose support would have been invaluable at your hour of need by slagging them off in an autobiography? And, of course, noting to do with a bullying management style that apparently made Ghengis Khan look like Mother Theresa, which meant that your civil servants, rather than rallying around, were queueing up to give evidence to Budd?
