Breeders Cup/Keeneland

With little rain forecast, the ground should be perfect for Mishriff in the Turf.
Has it to do from 11 draw, but sharp 12f should be right up his street.

Best bet of the week is Silver Knot 11/8 who should be and probably will be odds on.

Mishriff Reet? Trust me if the owner wasn't so rich and he belonged to your average Joe the trainer would tell him don't waste your money.

Granted the firm ground might help but clearly he is not the horse he was.............place lay of the meeting for me.

Flightline..What can you say? He might just be up to equalling the praise Secretariat has had all these years.
He is without doubt the highlight of the entire meeting if not the decade.

I've never seen anything like him since then. His last run he clearly showed he could canter faster than the opposition can run.

All season we put up with the hype rubbish Baaeed V Frankel..well this horse IMO does deserve to be compared to any of them Frankel included

Put this Lucky 63 on yesterday

Chocolate Gelato
Cave Rock
Nashwa
Golden Pal
Modern Games
Flightline

Will probably have e.w's on the 2 Chad Brown horses Free Luck and I'm Very Busy in the Juvenile turf races

Traditionally we have always done quite well at Keeneland from what I can remember. I rashly agreed to man the tombola stall at our fireworks display tomorrow evening so I will be hastily making sure the tickets are sold out and legging it home to watch. Might be a tight squeeze to see The Platinum Queen run.

I would love Mishriff to go out on a win. The horse owes anyone nothing.
Not sure why but think Nashwa is not as good as everyone would like to think she is but would love to be proved wrong. Can never get excited about this meeting though as at the end of a long season for European horses, I know 'we' do have winners but odds stacked against a lot of them, time wise, surface and track wise.

Some excellent footage on YouTube...just search Breeders Cup workouts 2022 and there is loads. Shows horses working on track in morning and you can get an idea of how the handle the track and also what sort of shape they are in.

Had a look at some of these and here are a few notes I have made:

O’Brien horses don’t look great bar Mediate who does look well. Stone Age and Victoria Road v sweaty.

Applebys horses on the other hand do look well especially Modern Games. Also thought Creative Force and Nations Pride caught the eye. I was disappointed with Silver Knott though. He may well be the best in the race but at such a short price, I will oppose with a couple....I’m Very Busy and Packs a Wahlop (love the name!) and Mo Stash is a nice type.

Emaraty Ana was out with the Godolphin horses and was buzzing with excitement.....”hey look at me out with the Boys in Blue!” :<3:

The footage focussed mainly on the bigger names and races so I am a bit blind on tonight’s.

Love Reigns looked well though I never saw The Platinum Queen and I would love her to win.

Chocolate Gelato...name is great

Meditate in next plus a little ew on Midnight Mile and I did like Spirit Gal in The footage too.

Cave Rock is supposedly a cert so I have opposed him with Hurricane J ew....no idea why!

Silver Knott is clear on ability but as I said I thought he looked a shade disappointing so have I’m Very Busy ew and Packs a Wahlop

Both looked very well especially Mishriff.

I realsed earlier that Mishriff has the IG on him , there's always a downside.
Someone out there watching horses work etc saying Nashwa looking awesome.
I love Creative Force, he always stands out in the pre race viewings for me, I think he just lacks that 'something' factor to get him to the line, he seems to run of steam half a furlong out bless him.

I have done an EW Trixie tonight.

Persian Force 8/1
Choc Gelato 4/1
Free Look 8/1

I'll dick around with some exactas and trifectas as well for small stakes. Lovely bonus for Friday night when you are observing 'dry November.'

Very impressed with the quality of NBC coverage on RTV. Very deep analysis of the race from many angles and then an in depth explanation from the course vet on the poor performance from Tylers Tribe (?).

Not a social stable or a pretty frock description to be seen.

Hope the home team are learning.

William Buick- World class

As good as anyone weve seen- and i didn't back the winner:)

The one race I had to watch on my phone due to tombola duties but I am blown away by the ride Buick gave this horse...absolutely superb. I watched the re-run with my mouth open. Sadly I never got to see her in the preliminaries but she’s a lovely filly and Appleby too is top drawer...said his horses looked well!

The commentator has just mentioned in the build up that one of the trainers, Chad Brown, has been criminally charged with domestic abuse and is awaiting trial.

Can't imagine Ollie or 'Cesca choosing to dwell on that one.

Not sure if it was the plan or Meditate was a bit slow out of the gate but what a diiference being held up has made.

She's hardly broken sweat there and took off like a rocket when Moore pulled her out and she saw daylight.

She's definetly improved for the extra distance and if ridden in the same way in the 1000 Guineas
it is not beyond the realms of possibility she could reverse places with Tahiyra

Three turf races go to the Europeans....we always do well at this track.

Good performance by both there..didn’t think either looked brilliant in their training work but class told there.

Done me for a William Buick double the swine:D Thought I was slightly unlucky as he was unable to start his run a second or 2 earlier due to traffic,
