but I'd like to know the after effects.i have to have someone with me to come home and be there for 24 hrs.why.?I hope I'm ok the next day as its york.

My Dad and one of my brother's have had one of these. The 24 hour is, if the same as them, because of the general anaethestic. If no one at home they would keep you in. I had a 10 minute, literally, procedure on one leg last year under general but 'cos I live on my own they wouldn't let me home same day/for 24 hours. People react differently so that's the standard.
Both had very sore throats after, so they recommended no hot drinks for a day or very acidic/spicy food, be sensible basically.
Hope it goes okay and it's just a precaution.
