Simon Callow today outside British Library

I should imagine he will soon be posting here about bumping into me and quite right too

Other recent ones. Laurence Dalagio in waitrose (fck hes massive) and Bill Oddie at one of my clients. Well ok....

Mick Jagger is one ive run across most. Always around Richmond or at the Oval.

in the mid 90's i also spotted Bill Oddie in a CD shop on Oxford Road

when i first started work in 1972 i used to catch the London Sheffield train from Derby..one day the train was crowded so i sat in the buffet car..opposite me was Tommy Cooper being waited on with drinks by the stewardess..he was as miserable as sin and sat puffing on a cigar throughout the journey..he was a total alcy at that point as i know now

he was at the Fiesta club at Sheffield that night

Tommy Cooper..now thats special

Probably best story i know is an old boss of mine in music industry. When the Beatles played on the roof of Apple on that famous occasion he had just been to an interview and was walking past. Hes bang there in the small crowd below.

Whats nice about it too is that he was a session drummer who was (like so many really in that industry) a complete Beatles fanatic

I was in Chapter One (Michelin starred restaurant in Dublin) for dinner with a boyfriend on a fairly busy Thrusday night. Halfway through our meal the Maitre D' came over and asked would we possibly mind changing to another table as a regular guest had requested "his" table. He indicated our wine would be on the house. We agreed and moved but were still within sight of our original table. Who wanders in but "some old guy"....

When we were finished our meal and asked for the bill we were told Mr.Springsteen had taken care of it. Yup, "some old guy" turned out to be Bruce Springsteen. I was mortified I hadn't recognised him!

I suppose it was also a case of the audience being famous too ec. Yes. what an event.

Pete townsend lived round corner from me too. Saw him around twickenham a lot and also seb Coe. He was often on the train and once coming back (and this is true) some bloke stopped him at the station and said..

"excuse me! ..its its its....................you isnt it?"

Seb seems a nice bloke and took it well.. I was creased up

I left a message on Charlene Spiteri's answerphone. I'm sure the restraining order is about due for being lifted soon. (Before anyone else says it).

I also failed to get Tracy Ullman installed with cable tv. She was very understanding. :)

Apollo Perelini in Tesco with his son on his shoulders every week for about 4 years

A few ex-Brookside/Hollyoaks actors/actresses whilst at school (though doubt that counts).

A group of us met Roman Abramovich just off Grafton Street the day of an Ireland match. He was happy to have his photo taken but had 6 security guards and we weren't allowed touch him.

Sat next to Adrian and Dave from Iron Maiden at Dublin Airport and met Iron Maiden backstage when I was 14 at Cardiff....that was awesome:cool:

what did you want to touch him for? dont they have dodgy saunas in dublin if you want a bit of that?
